Volunteers are the heart and soul of any non-profit organization and it is no different here at the Humane Socieity of Port Jervis/Deerpark.

 

They dedicate their spare time to helping the community and animals in need. Our volunteers do anything that is needed around the shelter and they always do it with a smile!

 

You might think that volunteering for an animal shelter requires you to have direct contact with animals, however that is just one way you can help.  We need volunteers to assist us in a variety of areas including landscaping, marketing, social media, networking, administrative, event planning, fundraising, adoption events and community outreach in addition to handling, playing with, socializing and training our dogs & cats.
